Biography
I am Cheryl Albrechta, OT, and as an occupational therapist I specialize in neurological rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My occupational therapy practice focuses on helping patients recover function, independence and quality of life following neurologic conditions and injuries.
In the Division of Neurological Rehabilitation within Rehabilitation Services, I care for individuals with conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury, concussion and spinal cord injury and various other neurologic conditions. I work closely as an occupational therapist with each patient to understand their goals and develop personalized treatment plans that support their meaningful participation in daily activities, work and community life.
My clinical interests include traumatic brain injury and concussion rehabilitation, with a particular focus on oculomotor rehabilitation. I am committed to providing evidence-based care that helps patients build skills, improve their functioning and maximize their independence throughout their recovery.
I am board-certified in physical rehabilitation and have my AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation.
