Biography

I am Connor Burke, MD, and I’m a family medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I practice evidence-based, comprehensive primary care – chronic disease management, acute illness treatment, mental healthcare, office procedures, pediatrics, prenatal care and more – for patients across all stages of life.

I love caring for patients, and I deeply value the relationship that patients and their primary care physicians can build over time. I believe a family physician should serve as a trusted health advisor, providing comprehensive care whenever possible, coordinating specialty referrals when needed and using a broad understanding of each patient's unique health needs to guide medical decisions.

I care for patients with a wide range of conditions including acute and chronic illnesses, and I enjoy helping patients stay healthy through preventive medicine and disease management. I provide care for newborns, offer prenatal care, perform routine women's health services such as Pap smears and provide contraceptive services including IUD and Nexplanon® placement. I also perform joint and trigger point injections in the primary care setting, allowing patients to receive many of their healthcare services in one convenient location.

Academics and research

I am Connor Burke, assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I specialize in population health, preventive medicine and clinical informatics. My research focuses on developing practical strategies that improve healthcare delivery, expand access to preventive services and support evidence-based care.

Teaching and mentorship have been important parts of my career. I enjoy working with resident physicians and helping educate future physicians through my work with medical students at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

In addition to caring for patients, I am passionate about improving health care systems. My research examines ways to create efficient, scalable solutions that allow physicians to spend more time caring for patients while enhancing access, care quality and outcomes. I am particularly interested in leveraging clinical informatics and population health approaches to support better patient outcomes and strengthen preventive care access across diverse patient populations.

Consulting and related relationships
