Biography
I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in neurology, with a focused clinical interest in epilepsy, seizure disorders and functional seizures. My clinical journey began as a registered nurse in the epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU), where I cared for patients with seizures while carefully considering their overall psychosocial situation. This experience allowed me to evaluate the life factors affecting their daily living, recognizing the common struggles that many people without neurological disorders often perform without difficulty.
My decision to pursue a career in neurology also has a personal tie. My brother lived with epilepsy, and his journey gave me a profound understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex neurological needs.
I evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with chronic and complex epilepsy – often supporting their families, as well. My role demands strong clinical judgment and a commitment to understanding the broader psychosocial factors that impact each patient’s life. I believe neurological care must address more than the physical condition; it must also support the emotional, cognitive and social aspects of healing. My goal is to provide holistic, empathetic care that empowers patients and improves their quality of life. I advocate for all patients by promoting autonomy, emphasizing their right to choose and their right to be well-informed throughout their care.
In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved with the American Epilepsy Society, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), and Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy (PAME).

My provider remembered a conversation we had last year. That was good.
She is wonderful. Always intuitive about the needs, so helpful and kind. We love her.
My care provider is really good. She listened to my concerns and helped me with them.
I love my CNP. However, I feel seeing my actual doctor every other visit should be part of protocol
Very professional and showed concern for my health and wellbeing.
Great
She was very thorough and remembered things about me from my last visit a year ago.
Crystal is very helpful. I like her kindness. Was willing to listen and give me good advice. Also help me find a new provider when I move.
She is fantastic
All Good
My nurse practitioner was excellent, knowledgeable, engaged in my care, curious about solutions for my health, and one of the best nurse practitioners I've seen across any specialty. I was very impressed with her!
She's the best - from personally to professionally. Always listen & asks open ended questions which I appreciate.
Very pleasing and caring
Compassionate, concerned, caring, great listening skills allows you time to ask questions
Good
Excellent listener/communication skills.
Thorough, great listener and accommodating to concerns. She understood and did not downplay or negate any of our observations and experiences. She perceived my need for time to think through and process options for my son's care and did not pressure me to make a decision now. She gave resources and ideas for issues that I had not thought of. I am incredibly grateful for her insights, accommodations and time to process and research options she gave. She is an extraordinary gem.

My case provider was great and took very great care of all the stuff regarding me and the care I needed.
Goes above and beyond what is expected of her
Always Very Very Good Experience!!!
We love Crystal. She is a great person who explains everything in layman's terms.
I always enjoy my time with the doctor she listens and doesn't care about the time that's spent. Otherwise she doesn't rush off to another patient without listening to all my concerns. I love that, it makes me feel important. Thank you!
Crystal took plenty of time to explain everything to me and address any concerns I might have had.
Great perfect
She is always SO understanding and does everything she can to answer questions.
Very professional and caring.
None, very accommodating, smart and kind.
