About Me
My favorite part about being an obstetrician is working together with women from many different stages of life. With young women, I have the chance to help educate them about contraception and promote healthy lifestyle changes.
Working with obstetric patients allows me to share in one of the most special and wonderful moments in life. Each birth is memorable and miraculous.
My work with menopausal women is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. This can be the best time in a woman's life, if managed properly as a team. I enjoy educating women about menopause and all of the options available to help make that time of transition much more comfortable.
I believe in working side-by-side with each patient to promote and maintain her health and sense of well-being.
In my spare time, I like to travel, hike and ski.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Evans has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
I am very dissatisfied with my care from this provider. I waited 15 months to get in to see this provider and my care over the last 4+ years has been less than adequate and has provided me with little to no positive outcomes or positive direction.

Dr. Evans is simply amazing. I can't ask for a better OB/GYN.
I felt the physician provided very little for my specific needs. She did not perform an exam which probably wasn't needed but she also spent little time discussing my symptoms. I waited 8 months for this specialist appointment and it could easily have been a telephone visit and saved everyone time. Poor use of time and resources. Little interest in my personal care.

I felt dismissed for the non classic menopausal symptoms I am experiencing. I in no way felt I was teaming up with a menopause specialist to partner with me to help in this phase of life. It was very disappointing and I'm currently seeking another Dr.
Dr Evan's was very thorough and took her time. I was very satisfied with Dr. Evans.
Unfortunately, I started menopause at 39 years age. I was referred to a menopause specialist to help with some questions and concerns. I felt the visit was more about the negative things. I've menopause and left feeling very overwhelmed. Yes, I am a 54-year-old woman and maybe not much you can do, but I don't think any patient should leave a practice feeling defeated.
Dr Evans is the best. Knows all my conditions and follows up on all of them. Very easy to talk with. I know she gives me sound medical advice.
I do not believe there were any truly bad experiences. It just seemed to me that Dr. Evan's was quite detached, and I guess that would be normal since she had never met me before. She Informed me that she no longer sees strictly gynecological patients. I had been referred to OSU services by Dr. Jones at Urgent Care in New Albany, and I asked for an empathetic, female gyn when I made the appointment. Dr. Evans just did not seem empathetic in spite of smiling.

Dismissive, cold, didn't ask questions to gain more insight, just wanted to write me a prescription. No blood work, no anything, just a limited conversation that I felt was cut short. Asked "why are you here" in a tone that portrayed disdain for me. I was referred by my general practitioner for my issues and I have wasted time and money. Did not pick up prescriptions, I'm not certain that is what I need. Would have been nice to discuss other options. All my symptoms were not discussed because I didn't get to communicate them.

Dr. Evans is always very kind and caring. We usually just see each other once a year, but it's like seeing an old friend. I appreciate how she addresses my concerns and only does the things that are needed but gives me options when appropriate and informs me of things to watch for.

The provider is not knowledgeable about current best practices in perimenopause. I had waited months thinking I would get help only to be dismissed with outdated medical advice. Telling a woman that she needs to accept that she's getting older instead of providing her with resources and treatment to help with her symptoms is truly unkind and harmful.
Dr. Evans is a phenomenal provider that cares about her patients. It shows every visit, when answering every concern, and even when she asks about our kids. I am thankful for her.

Dr.Evans was amazing! She listened to everything I had to say, she was kind, understanding and empathetic to my situation! I left with hope of feeling better, which I have not had for years! She explained everything thoroughly and compassionately! I have already recommended her to multiple persons I know that are going through menopause!

Dr. Evans was very nice, very respectful, and even concerned about my discomfort level while taking a sample. She expressed empathy with my concerns and asked follow up questions to clearly understand what would be the best treatment option for me. She also made sure I understood all fot he information she provided to me as well as the instructions for the prescriptions she provided. She was very attentive and a practioner any woman would be grateful to have while transitioning into the next phase of life, menopause, which is definitely needed more for the women in my age group.
It felt rushed, and I felt as if my concerns regarding menopause and symptoms were dismissed without any real discussion other than to get my ultrasound and come back for a check up where I may or may not have to have my IUD removed and get a biopsy.
Dr. Evans is THE best! I will be so sad when she retires.
