About Me

I am a nurse practitioner with over 18 years of experience in my field. I received my master’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State University and have been working at The James as a CNP since 2005. I currently work in the survivorship department, where I specialize in treating breast cancer and supporting patients through their cancer journey. Dealing with patients and their families, and helping them through what is often a difficult time for them, is extremely satisfying for me.

I am honored to be able to offer our patients different options for treatment when diagnosed with cancer, including trials and targeted regimes that you can’t get everywhere. I also enjoy the team approach of working at The James. There is always somebody there to answer your question or lend a hand, and that behavior directly effects the treatment and care that we give our patients.

In addition to my work at the OSUCCC – James, I have published a paper on long-term breast cancer survivors in the Journal of Oncology Navigation and Survivors, helped organize the “Beyond the Basics of Cancer Survivorship” annual conference, and was a speaker/organizer for Horizon of Hope in 2016.
