About Me

I am the clinical director of Cancer Supportive Care/Survivorship at the OSUCCC – James, which is a team that provides holistic and comprehensive care to James patients. We see everyone from newly diagnosed patients to those who finished treatment many years ago. My focus is on the person diagnosed with cancer and their support system to help address any concerns they may have, provide guidance on healthy living and coordinate care with other health care providers to improve quality of life and wellness.

Cancer is a personal experience that requires a unique and personalized approach with an emphasis on the whole person. Cancer is more than an illness. The diagnosis often affects relationships, work or school, spirituality, finances and may cause emotional distress. Our team is designed to help those with cancer find balance and wellness during and after treatment.

I am privileged to work at The James because everyone is focused and dedicated to providing high-quality cancer care. Every staff member is friendly and helpful, and there is an amazing synergy among the clinical care, research and education that enhances how we care for patients. I am so proud to be a member of this team because we champion and advocate for survivors, share important information about wellness and educate on how to adjust to life after cancer.

In addition to my work at the OSUCCC – James, I am a founding member of the Midwest Consortium for Cancer Survivorship and a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and the Oncology Nursing Society. I have also contributed to a number of academic publications on cancer survivorship and have presented at over 20 medical conferences.
