About Me

I’m a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements. I focus on complex hip and knee problems, in particular patients who develop infections involving their replacements. Patients from all over the state of Ohio and surrounding states see me after experiencing stiffness, pain, decreased range of motion, inability to walk distances and other issues following surgery. Many times, an infection is the underlying cause.

Ohio State is one of only a few centers in the United States that has a Musculoskeletal Infection and Periprosthetic Joint Infection Program. Our team includes physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners from multiple disciplines, including orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, microbiology, infectious disease, pharmacy and internal medicine. Working together, we ensure the best and most up-to-date diagnosis, treatment and management of such musculoskeletal problems.

My goal is to give you quality of life and the ability to participate in everything that you enjoy. Patients can expect to receive world-class treatment, up-to-date knowledge and utilization of the most advanced techniques delivered in a compassionate and supportive environment. I will treat you like a member of my family and be attentive to every detail regarding your recovery.

I enjoy many things about working in the orthopedic surgery department at Ohio State. Our collaborative team works closely together, and that allows each patient to receive the best orthopedic care anywhere in the world. We have a national reputation as one of the best orthopedic surgery programs and one of the best hospitals in the country.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three wonderful children and beautiful wife. I’m an avid skier and enjoy sports. I love to travel internationally and experience different cultures. I also love to cook when I find the time on the weekend.
