Biography

I’ve been a family medicine physician for more than 20 years and have treated a wide range of conditions including anxiety, depression, diabetes and hypertension. In particular, I have a special interest in women’s health and college health. I’m passionate about working with a diverse patient population and educating patients to be involved in their own health care needs. I believe in building a collaborative relationship with my patients while balancing what’s medically recommended for a patient along with their medical needs. I’m also committed to breaking down any barriers that prevent patients from achieving their best health.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has a culture of collaborative care to support family medicine. With access to nationally renowned specialists, pharmacists, nutritionists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and mental health providers, our patients are able to have all their health care needs provided for in a single institution.

Apart from patient care, I have mentored family medicine residents for more than 14 years and enjoy sharing my knowledge of clinical medicine. By teaching others, I have continued to learn and grow as a physician and be a support system for students as a diversity mentor.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy doing yoga and going for walks with my dog. I also love sampling different cuisines at restaurants and traveling.
