Biography
I'm a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in women's sexual health and gynecology and provides body positive and trauma-informed care. I've always been passionate about empowering women to have a voice and make informed choices about their care, particularly on issues such as contraception, family planning and sexuality. I often tell patients that they are the pilot and I'm the co-pilot. I'm here to explain their condition and treatment options and ultimately, they make the final decision about which route we take.
Sometimes certain aspects of women's health, such as sexual health, are not always adequately addressed in healthcare and I am passionate about changing that. I strive to provide quality, evidenced-based care for women while also helping to educate the community and my fellow healthcare providers. I have partnered with other providers to create informational forums for patients and educational opportunities for healthcare providers to learn about women's sexual health. I'm also a founding member of the Ohio Sexual Health Collaborative, a professional women's sexual health organization.
It's exciting to collaborate with others who share my passion for women's health, as that passion helps to keep the ideas flowing. At the Ohio State Center for Women's Health, I collaborate with and learn from other women's health specialists beyond gynecology. We discuss mutual patients and provide a well-rounded healthcare experience for everyone who comes to see us. Being here has helped me strengthen my knowledge and keep up to date in medical fields such as primary care and endocrinology that I otherwise would not have access to.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband. My hobbies include reading, kayaking and hiking. My husband and I love to travel and have visited many places in Central America and the Caribbean. I also enjoy crafts such as crochet and sewing and made my first quilt during the pandemic.

She spent a long time with me and listened to and addressed all of my concerns
E. Gandee is awesome, always attentive and able to explain things in detail that's understandable.
I very much enjoy working with Liz. She has been a wonderful healthcare provider.
Extremely helpful. Kind, caring, thorough. Spent a lot of time with me to be sure to address all concerns and provide detailed explanations.
Uses research to support her plan of care. Presents me with alternate options for my plan of care.
May seem a little put off when questions are asked. I am not questioning her expertise. I am seeking Information for my own knowledge. Cites studies to discuss medical trends which pertinent.
Liz is fantastic. She listens closely and answers all questions. She is always current about the latest research. I truly trust her as a provider.
Dr. Liz Gandee is just great. I feel so comfortable telling her everything even if it's embarrassing to me. She listens to all my concerns and gives me solutions to everything.
All good
Elizabeth Gandee seemed overly concerned about a known, benign ovarian cyst to the point it was anxiety triggering for me. She seemed to skew everything she said toward the worst possible (and least likely) scenario that it was cancerous. I did not like this negative bedside manner at all. I requested to see a different provider for my next annual visit since this behavior happened last year with Elizabeth as well. I have specifically mentioned to her last year when she exhibited this same exact behavior that it made me uncomfortable. I am hopeful another provider will be more appropriate.
Listened to my concerns, provided great info
Everything went well with her
Elizabeth Gandee is always easy to ask questions of and a good listener.
