Biography
As an internal medicine physician, my practice is focused on caring for patients with sports-related injuries including concussions, ligament sprains, tendinopathy, bone stress and soft tissue injuries, and knee and ankle injuries. I perform minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided procedures to reduce recovery time and help my patients get back to the activities they enjoy.
My own athletic background and experiences as a patient inspired my decision to pursue a career in sports medicine. I approach each patient visit with the intent to build trust and create a management plan with the individual’s lifestyle and activities in mind. I enjoy working with patients at every level of fitness, and my goal is to help them continue doing what they love for as long as possible.
My responsibilities include serving as lead physician for the Ohio Roller Derby. I’ve previously helped care for professional athletes such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Guardians. Additionally, my training in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East gave me a unique perspective on patient care and influenced my approach to medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Elizabeth Liotta has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
