Biography
I became a nurse practitioner because I’m passionate about doing what I can to make a positive difference in my patients’ lives. I always offer patients and their families as much comfort and peace as possible, as well as closure during challenging times. When patients come to see me, they can expect an individualized approach based on their needs and lifestyles.
Health care is a never-ending cycle of learning, teaching, and caring. My years of experience in bedside care was the backbone that shaped me as a health care provider, and the value I gained from each patient I had the pleasure of caring for is immeasurable. I have worked in acute and long term/skilled care settings, and my graduate degree is in adult gerontology. I am now an advanced provider at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center who specializes in caring for transplant patients and living donors.
The people and the atmosphere make Ohio State special. Being part of a team that is devoted to supporting its community, while also showing great spirit and camaraderie, makes it special. In addition, this institution leads the way with innovative research opportunities and devotion to improving patient care. It’s a privilege to be part of such an exceptional multidisciplinary team. I’m also proud to be able to set an example for my children by demonstrating how rewarding it is to care for others, and that compassion, dedication, and hard work are the path to achieving your dreams.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and playing outdoors with my three kids. My other hobbies include drawing, painting, going for walks, and traveling.
