Biography
I am Emily Stephan, MSN, APRN-CNP, and I provide palliative care nursing for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses. My practice focuses on symptom management, communication, and on providing care that aligns with each patient’s goals and values.
As an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (the OSUCCC – James), I am dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care that supports patients and their families throughout their treatment journey. I work closely with interdisciplinary teams to address physical symptoms, emotional concerns, and complex medical decision-making, helping patients achieve the best possible quality of life.
I value building meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones and believe that clear communication and shared decision-making are essential components of excellent care. In addition to my clinical practice, I am passionate about educating the next generation of healthcare professionals through precepting nursing students, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
I am a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) and remain committed to advancing high-quality palliative care through education, collaboration and evidence-based practice.
