About Me

Every day as an otolaryngology surgeon I help people to feel better. I work in a highly specialized area of medicine that focuses on the face, head and neck area.

Through expert surgery, we can achieve a wide range of restorative solutions for patients. Whatever the procedure, I believe that all patients should get top-notch care. Ohio State allows me to deliver that caliber of care.

Our team of professionals has access to Ohio State's cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art research and clinical facilities. Our bench-to-bedside approach allows our patients to receive the best targeted treatment, which leads to fewer side effects and better outcomes.

When I'm not working, I like to attend Ohio State football games or take in a good movie. I also like traveling and relaxing with my family. When I have time, I enjoy doing home improvement projects.

I was told to simply use more of my prescription despite that it was not working effectively. Upon doing research of my own, I found that there were other options for care, and that said prescription has more side effects than what I was told when I inquired. I could also tell the care provider had back-to-back appointments because of how quickly our appointment lasted.

Dr Chio is one of the best Doctors I have seen. He's very caring and I never seem rushed. His administrative assistance is also great. Also very helpful. This is my first experience with a OSU hospital doctor. I'm not going any where else.

The provider did not address all my concerns- some important ones were disregarded completely, and nothing was done for my pain. (suggesting otc meds is not helpful- I did not need to see a doctor for that) I was not experiencing my pain symptoms at that time, but when I do they make it difficult for me to do anything. Absolutely nothing was done to help or alleviate this, and the doctor totally failed me on that particular issue. He made no effort to have any test done to find out what it was, and when he felt the area where I have the pain- he did not notice the obvious lump on one side.
