About Me

As a retinal specialist and surgeon, I have experience treating diabetic eye diseases, retinal vascular disorders, macular diseases, retinal detachments, complex diabetic retinal detachments and traumatic retinal detachments. My passion for eye care comes from the tremendous role vision has in our lives. I continue to study the latest and most innovative techniques for treating eye diseases in order to provide the highest quality care to my patients.

I believe the best way to care for patients is to understand their unique needs and to tailor the care to according to those needs. I approach each patient as if he or she was a member of my own family and I strive to give the kind of high quality individualized medicine I would want for my family.

Ohio State is a large institution with immense resources and cutting edge technologies. I wanted to be in an environment that fosters continuing education and learning, and the Department of Ophthalmology is just the right setting. With a large residency program and fellowship programs in multiple subspecialties, I have the opportunity to help train future generations of ophthalmologists.

She was great. But it was impossible to tell if she was talking to me or her assistant during the tests. And she was talking in code without explaining anything, but my chin was pressed against the examining device so I couldn't ask any questions. A better way to conduct the exam would be to explain that she would be giving coded results to the assistant and could explain them after the exam.
