I am a board-certified internal medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in primary care and preventive medicine, helping patients manage chronic conditions and maintain overall wellness. My patients can rely on me for high quality, compassionate care and honest communication in every encounter.
I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled experts to ensure each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and values. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of providers.
I am an associate clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Academics and research
My research applies continuous quality improvement to patient care. Together with a team of fellow doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, I examine how to improve patient care workflow and care coordination for patients impacted by complex chronic diseases. My team and I are currently using the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model to develop a standard of care for discharging patients with such diseases as diabetes or hypertension. They are examining how implementing such standards impacts disease reduction, emergency department visits and hospital readmission rates.
My work to further develop oversight of controlled substances prescriptions within the division. I have helped develop a treatment agreement that monitors the prescription of controlled substances and will be working with pharmacy team to develop further oversight of scripts being sent. These projects are designed to standardize the way doctors prescribe potentially addictive opiates and other medications, ultimately seeking to help combat the problem of prescription drug overdose in Ohio.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Gail Grever did a really good job helping me with my health. I really like her. I told her that I want to go to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Lewis Center, only, If possible. I told her, unless it is an emergency, I only want to drive to Lewis Center. I told her that the driving there from this house that it is so easy. I told her unless it is an emergency, I really don't want to go to the other OSU Webster Medical Centers because the driving is difficult for me. I waited nine months to get Dr. Gale Grever, and it was well worth the wait.
She has concern for my well being and is knowledgeable in providing the right advice

I'm very impressed with Dr. Grever. She is very kind and very thorough, spending a great deal of time learning about my history and current issues. It was hard for me to leave my former PCP when we relocated in 2022 but it became difficult to travel 2 hours for care. I feel very fortunate and grateful that I found Dr. Grever and feel that I will be well cared for going forward.

Best doctor anyone could have. I've been going to Dr Grever for a long time and would be lost without her. I have a lot of health issues, and she oversees and helps me with things she can and sends me to outstanding doctors on specific issues. I love Dr Grever. In all my adult years I have never had a better PCP. I moved here about 10 years ago and struggled to find a doctor I am comfortable with. After receiving a cancer diagnosis and entering the OSU system I have been truly blessed with Dr Grever and my oncologist, Dr Beth Christian. They work very well together and make me feel secure in that I am getting the best medical care.
Dr. Grever is an outstanding physician. This was my new patient visit to establish her as my PCP. She had spent time before my visit reviewing my medical records and went over any questions she had regarding my past medical care. We reviewed all my medications and made any needed adjustments. She listened to my concerns and questions, made all the necessary referrals that I needed, and ordered necessary x-rays. We established treatment plans around several of my medical issues. She gave me feedback through MyHealth shortly after the x-ray results were posted. Overall, I was very pleased with her and look forward to her being my PCP moving forward.

Best doctor I could ask for. I've been seeing Dr Grever for probably 20 years. She is always on top of all of my medical issues and keeps track of my cardiologist appointments and results of test as well as issues such my After Hours visit for my pulled muscle in my leg.
