Biography
I am an obstetrician-gynecologist (Ob/Gyn) providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages. I provide annual gynecological examinations, treat heavy or painful periods, and offer contraception services and gender-affirming care. What sets me apart is my dual expertise in general obstetrics and gynecology, alongside specialized care in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
I chose a career in medicine because I wanted a career that involved direct contact with people, and was based on science, lifelong learning and the ongoing opportunity to serve my community.
My career path has been positively impacted by working with my peers within and outside of Ob/Gyn, learning from them on a regular basis about being a better doctor as well as being a better person.
It’s also a privilege to work alongside such committed and talented colleagues here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. We are all devoted to providing the best and most personalized patient care possible, and I’m proud to be part of this team.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

My care provider is always very personable, and even when not seeing me for quite some time, she seems to remember things about me (like that my husband passed away last year). She does a thorough exam and makes me feel comfortable. I have a lot of trust in the medical care and advice she provides.
Dr Hewitt goes beyond the call of duty to spend time answering all your questions and concerns. Is thorough in your medical history and medications. And never rushes through your appointment.
Dr. Hewitt is a 10/10. I've Never had a bad experience with her. Her bedside manner is unmatched (through good and bad news). She really understands what I'm saying or needing, even if I don't. She could probably tell me the sky is purple and I'd believe her for a least a second I trust her so much.
She is the best and deserves a raise!
Outstanding! Greeted with a smile & apologized for my wait time. Made sure she understood my symptoms, answered questions. Great eye contact. Always concerned about my comfort. Reviewed pmhx, meds & any changes recently. She explained what she planned, communicated clearly, showed compassion, kindness & reassurance. I couldn't ask for a better physician. She's the real deal. Told me to contact her office with any questions or concerns. Explained her plan depending on biopsy results & wows going to contact a partner (physician) who may be of assistance in treatment plan. Beyond comforting & professional.
