Biography
I am a physical therapist, with a clinical interest in rehabilitation for upper-extremity injuries and overhead athletes, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My physical therapy practice focuses on helping patients restore function and return to the sports, activities and hobbies that matter most to them.
My own experience recovering from a serious shoulder injury inspired me to pursue physical therapy. Having been a patient myself, I understand the importance of feeling heard, supported and encouraged throughout recovery. I strive to be my patients’ strongest advocate and to build trusting relationships that help them work toward their goals.
I meet each patient where they are and provide individualized, patient-centered care. My clinical interests include treating swimmers, baseball and softball players and other athletes whose sports involve repetitive overhead movements. I am particularly interested in throwing analysis, workload management and safe return-to-sport progression. I also developed a comprehensive return-to-throwing clinical care guideline for softball position players.
I earned my doctorate in physical therapy from The Ohio State University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Outside of work, I enjoy running, weightlifting, attending workout classes and swimming.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
