About Me
As a family medicine and sports medicine physician, I have a strong focus on mental and physical health and wellness. I enjoy establishing a rapport and building relationships with each of my patients, and assisting each to accomplish his or her health and wellness goals. As a DO, I emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and care.
I’m not only a primary care physician, but also a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician. Sports medicine physicians have significant specialized training in both the treatment and prevention of illness and injury, and we are ideally suited to provide care for athletes, sports teams or active individuals of any age who are looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I specialize in the nonoperative treatment of injuries of muscles and joints: acute injuries, overuse injuries, sports-related concussions, “return to play” decisions in sick or injured athletes, and nonoperative medical and injection therapies for osteoarthritis. I enjoy helping my patients remain active and healthy.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband and two little girls!

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Hoang is outstanding! Listens to me , educates me, and works with me to develop a solution to my needs.
My care provider was very good. She explained the side effect of the medicine and asked me If I had any problem when I took the medicine.

Dr. Hoang is one of the best working w a left knee on a PT that is a quadriplegic. She is caring and we talked through 3 or 4 options. We believe a knee replacement would be difficult. U have a great DO in your system!!
I think Dr. Hoang is the best primary care physician that I have ever had. I have had a run of bad luck lately with medical issues and she has been right there beside me, explaining everything to me and we laugh at silly little things and that has helped me more than she knows.
Dr. Hoang is one of the best PCP I have ever had. She's honest and caring. She also has a funny sense a humor.

I expected a more clearer diagnosis after the blood results came in. Didn't get that and I am very unhappy about this. What I got after follow-up's was a referral to another doctor - this time a specialist. So what did I achieve my spending my time and energy with this provider in the first place?
She doesn't listen to anything I say. Thats why it took me 2 years to come back when I got I insurance again. I said my ears hurt and itch nonstop, she said they're fine. I mentioned my feet swelling and hurting. I can't stand for more than 5 minutes cuz without excruciating pain and she said wear better shoes. My weight is through the roof and I asked for help because I keep getting bigger, she told me to go on a diet. Pretty much dismissed my mental health claims. Always just gives me long lists of doctors to call who don't have availability for over a year. I had to come back to her because I couldn't find any other doctor in the city that took new patients or my insurance, but when I am able to switch I definitely will. I'm a law student right now, so when I graduate and get a job I'll be able to afford someone who cares about me and wants to help.

Physician researched my medical history prior to me being seen by this physician over 3 years ago. There was an old MRI to discuss with my current issues.

I have been having health issues lately and Dr Hoang just jumped into action to help me. She is so attentive and makes me feel that the both of us will get the answers we need to help me. I can't say enough about her caring manner. I never feel rushed at all in the office. When I am out of town for a period of time I wish I could take her with me!! She is a caring, funny warm Doctor and I am glad she's with OSU.

Dr. Hoang is a very good listener and doctor. I feel comfortable with her and feel that she is competent as my PCP. She will investigate your health issues and order blood tests/X-rays to find out what's going on and follow up with you about them in the next visit. I had also messaged her on MyChart before and she responded timely to my questions online.
