About Me
I am a primary care physician treating patients of all ages at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I treat and diagnose a variety of acute and chronic illnesses, and I emphasize preventive medicine to help people lead the healthiest lives possible.
I strive every day to provide personalized, compassionate and comprehensive care, and I value the long-term relationships I can develop as a primary care doctor. Making a personal connection with my patients and their families, and doing all I can to impact their lives in a positive way, is of utmost importance to me.
I listen carefully to my patients’ stories and experiences so that I may better understand their goals and values, which I believe enhances the care. My patients can rely on me as a collaborative partner and that I will involve them in all decision-making. I also emphasize education and take the time to ensure my patients thoroughly understand their condition and treatment options.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Guvenc Bicer has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Very good
Answered all my questions.
First time meeting her, she was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Dr. Bicer was exceptional and because of this she has become my permanent physician. She listens carefully and is very familiar with the medical literature on long term use of steroid drops. This is significant for me because I have had to use them for 30 years. I have had 4 corneal grafts. She is also very attentive to medical details. She clearly read through my records in detail and asked many questions. I loved the fact that she thinks structurally and was attentive to possible interlinkages between my physical symptoms. I am an academic and recognize smartness. This is an attentive, sharp, and well educated doctor. I feel so fortunate to have her as my new physician.
Very friendly and answered questions as this was my initial visit with her.
She was great
Great experience overall
Lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. I didn't feel well, so I probably didn't clarify my questions. We were both wearing masks, so accurate sharing of information was challenging . I am thankful for MyChart so that I could review appointment. I think I still had questions after my visit about which meds could be used simultaneously.
All good!
