Biography
I am Hannah Simonetti, PT, DPT (they/them), a physical therapist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center specializing in pelvic health, sexual health, gender-affirming care, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. I help patients manage pelvic pain, bladder and bowel issues, sexual dysfunction, pregnancy- and postpartum-related concerns, and other conditions that affect comfort and quality of life.
My approach is patient-centered, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I prioritize listening, understanding each patient's goals, and empowering them through education and evidence-based care. I strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported in returning to the activities that matter most to them.
A key focus of my practice is providing affirming, inclusive care for transgender and gender-diverse patients. This includes postoperative rehabilitation following gender-affirming surgeries as well as treatment for pelvic floor conditions unrelated to surgery.
I also have a strong clinical interest in treating chronic pain. I have advanced training in manual therapy techniques including craniosacral therapy, dry needling, and manual lymphatic drainage, and I enjoy incorporating these techniques in treatment sessions.
My commitment to lifelong learning continues to shape my practice. I completed the Pelvic and Women's Health Physical Therapy Residency Program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and became a Board Certified Pelvic and Women’s Health Clinical Specialist. This advanced training strengthened my clinical expertise and prepared me to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. I regularly seek out continuing education opportunities to expand my skillset. I also serve as a mentor for newer pelvic health therapists and as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Hannah Simonetti has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
