Biography
I chose to become an obstetrician and gynecologist because it allows me the privilege of taking care of patients across distinct phases of their lives. I care for patients through pregnancy and childbirth, treat issues including infertility, fibroids and polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), and offer gender-affirming care and contraception services. I am interested in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and my research has focused on reproductive justice and trauma-informed care.
When meeting with patients, I always take the time to listen to each unique concern and understand how the care intersects with their life. My patients can trust that I will work collaboratively with them to determine the best treatment option that aligns with their needs and values. It is essential to be straightforward and honest with my patients to establish a level of trust, and I want to make them feel empowered to reach their health and life goals.
When I’m not working, I enjoy walking and biking, exploring the local Columbus food scene, spending time with my soon-to-be husband and other family and friends, and traveling the world.

Academics and research
In addition, doing this work at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is truly a privilege. The access to cutting-edge research and innovative treatments is unparalleled, and I feel confident knowing that my patients will receive the highest care possible from everyone on the staff, including medical students, residents, nurses, consultants, and our support staff.
My job includes helping to train future physicians, a role I developed a passion for during my own residency training here at Ohio State. Upon completing residency, I knew that I wanted to continue working in this space to give back to the department and health system that helped shape me into the physician I am today. I currently work with medical students in nearly all facets of my position, including during labor and delivery, in the clinic and in the operating room. I enjoy teaching and aim to create a safe space that allows for a positive learning environment.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Haverly Snyder has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
