Biography
I chose to become an obstetrician and gynecologist because it allows me the privilege of taking care of patients across distinct phases of their lives. I care for patients through pregnancy and childbirth, treat issues including infertility, fibroids and polycystic ovary syndrome, and offer gender-affirming care and contraception services. I am interested in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and my research has focused on reproductive justice and trauma-informed care.
When meeting with patients, I always take the time to listen to each unique concern and understand how the care intersects with their life. My patients can trust that I will work collaboratively with them to determine the best treatment option that aligns with their needs and values. It is essential to be straightforward and honest with my patients to establish a level of trust, and I want to make them feel empowered to reach their health and life goals.
When I’m not working, I enjoy walking and biking, exploring the local Columbus food scene, spending time with my soon-to-be husband and other family and friends, and traveling the world.

In addition, doing this work at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is truly a privilege. The access to cutting-edge research and innovative treatments is unparalleled, and I feel confident knowing that my patients will receive the highest care possible from everyone on the staff, including medical students, residents, nurses, consultants, and our support staff.
My job includes helping to train future physicians, a role I developed a passion for during my own residency training here at Ohio State. Upon completing residency, I knew that I wanted to continue working in this space to give back to the department and health system that helped shape me into the physician I am today. I currently work with medical students in nearly all facets of my position, including during labor and delivery, in the clinic and in the operating room. I enjoy teaching and aim to create a safe space that allows for a positive learning environment.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

She can be very quick at times in how she provides information and does not always show emotional support for challenging discussions. She did not even attempt to check in on how I was doing after having a baby or ask how the baby was doing, which would have been very easy to do and a positive rapport development activity while setting up for the visit.
Answered all of my questions/concerns. Was asking me questions. About what I wanted from the visit asking if I had further questions, was very open and honest and patient with my concerns/questions. Was very good.
She was amazing. Took a ton of time with me and I really felt seen and heard.
My care provider was great and very knowledgeable.
My provider was very friendly and kind. We discussed some of my symptoms and she encouraged further work up. There was a possibility that a tumor was on my brain. She did not say if I would be malignant or benign, so I had to ask. Not letting me know that it was most likely benign right away made me scared. However, when my blood tests resulted, my doctor called me very soon after to ensure me that everything was fine and no further testing is needed at this time. She also answered the follow up question afterwards. I really appreciated her promptness

This was my first time seeing Dr. Snyder and she was amazing. She brought up a possible contraindication in my medical history with a medication I was taking that could be problematic and other providers missed that for years! She was so thorough and kind and knowledgeable.

This is the first time I've ever been excited about my OBGYN! The nurse was incredible, And the doctor was super knowledgeable. Both of them listened thoroughly and personalized solutions for my care.
Same thing. Dr. Snyder is always very attentive to me and always ensures I feel comfortable and understand everything that is going on. I am very grateful to have a provider that meets me where I am at and does everything she can to make me feel at ease and address all of my concerns.
My prior MD had left the practice and this was the first time with this physician. She had minimal pleasantries when she came and did not review my health information with me out loud. It was unclear how much she knew about my medical history before walking in and it seemed to be reviewed quickly in real-time. I had concerns regarding my health I wanted to talk about but I felt I was rushed through and dismissed when asking questions. I arrived early to my appointment but I was very late taken back to the room and the whole appointment was probably about 15 minutes for my yearly visit. I expect to have more time with my provider for this visit as its once a year and seeing that I had questions to address. It was clear she was in a hurry and needed to keep seeing patients. While she was apologetic about being late, she did feel genuine in wanting to discuss my care and left me feeling upset with the visit overall.
Dr. Snyder is easily one of the best OBGYNs I've ever had. She is efficient without sacrificing attention to detail and empathy. She collaborates with my primary care doctor and other specialists in my care. I admire her ability to effortlessly provide reassurance without dismissing my concerns. I always feel heard and respected by her. She is the best!
