Biography
I am Heather Bartlett, MD, and I specialize in primary and preventive care, metabolic health and chronic disease prevention at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on helping adults improve their overall health through personalized, evidence-informed care.
I believe effective care begins with listening. By understanding each patient’s medical history, lifestyle and goals, I develop individualized care plans that are practical, sustainable and tailored to their needs. My goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions about their health.
My clinical interests include executive physicals, metabolic health, weight management, high blood pressure, diabetes and prediabetes, high cholesterol, fatty liver disease, heart disease prevention, sleep concerns and overall wellness. I work closely with patients to identify meaningful changes that support long-term health through nutrition, physical activity, sleep optimization, stress management and, when appropriate, medication and specialty care.
I am particularly interested in helping patients understand how the body creates and uses energy and how metabolic health relates to cellular function and healthy aging. I stay current with emerging research into metabolism and longevity and help patients evaluate evidence-informed strategies that align with their goals and circumstances.
Executive Health visits provide the opportunity for a comprehensive assessment and a deeper understanding of each patient’s health. For individuals balancing demanding professional and personal responsibilities, I offer coordinated, personalized care and collaborate with specialists across the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center when additional evaluation or treatment is needed.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Heather Bartlett has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
