About Me
As an internal medicine physician, I specialize in taking care of patients while they are in the hospital. My role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center also includes serving as Unit Medical Director for Doan 9 East and Rhodes 9 West. I chose a career in medicine because I am passionate about serving others and doing what I can to ensure all patients have access to high-quality health care.
I am especially interested in helping educate the next generation of physicians. I am the assistant director of the Internal Medicine Clinical Track Program, and a clinical assistant professor. I have previously been honored with the Department of Internal Medicine’s Excellence in Teaching Award.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Patel has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
