About Me
I became an orthopedic surgeon because I am passionate about helping patients get back to doing the things they love. As an adult reconstruction specialist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I focus on hip and knee surgeries. I regularly perform partial and total hip and knee replacements, as well as revision hip and knee procedures.
My goal as a provider is to partner with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that will help to improve their quality of life. I do my best to ensure my patients understand the disease process and all of their treatment options. My research is focused on patient education and whether well-informed patients achieve better outcomes.
I was born and raised in Dayton, attended my first Buckeye football game as a young child and earned my undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University. It’s a privilege to come home and continue my career at an academic medical center where teaching, learning and research are strongly valued.?
I’m also excited to continue the tradition of excellence by helping train the next generation of physicians. I serve as an assistant professor of clinical orthopedics within the Division of Adult Reconstruction at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, grilling, hiking, and spending time with my wife and two sons. Saturdays in the fall are for Buckeye football.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Not concerned with the existing problem and not caring of why I was unable to focus on my health due to having to take care of an extremely ill spouse. Basically, I was told to deal with the pain

I visited Dr Reeves for a second opinion after tkr. He listened to me and advised what he discovered on my X-rays. He explained things well and was very well versed about the issue I was having.

When Dr. Reeves joined us he was also friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. In detail, he explained the condition of the knee, and that I was a good candidate for a partial knee replacement In lieu of a total replacement. We decided on the partial replacement surgery and he explained the surgical process. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Reeves.

Excellent - so personable, hospitable, encouraging of open conversation with both questions and comments. Dr. Reeves listened patiently and with obvious interest as I went over the history of the problem. He brought in a form of the body part that is involved so that he could depict what we may discover through imaging and proposed possible avenues of correction. His explanations were quite clear and he wanted to be sure that we understood and that any questions were more than welcome. He was also sure to let us know that it would be entirely up to us as to whether to proceed with the proposals and how extensively we wished to get involved.It was truly a pleasure and an honor to have an appointment with Dr. Reeves!
