About MeAs a pulmonologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center I treat all facets of lung health and disease. I try to get to know my patients not only medically, but on a personal level as well. I believe that medical conditions and illnesses are a journey that my patients and I take together. Medicine is truly the ultimate profession of service to others!
I love working at an academic medical center where I have the opportunity to care for patients and teach the next generation of physicians. I’ve always believed this was a great university since coming here to play football in 1972.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending my free time fly fishing.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 12/20/2018, Dr. Weiland has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
