About Me
I became a trauma surgeon because I am passionate about doing all I can to help patients recover after they have sustained an injury. I specialize in surgical critical care and regularly perform emergency procedures in my role with the Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Burn. My patients can rely on me for exceptional treatment and trust that I will provide the same high-level care that I would want for my own family members.
I completed my fellowship training in critical care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and am thrilled to continue caring for patients here in central Ohio. As a prominent academic medical institute, we are at the forefront of research and best practices. I’m proud to work alongside such skilled and committed colleagues here at Ohio State.
My role also involves helping educate the next generation of physicians. I am a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery in the medical center.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Hu has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
