About Me
I have always been inspired by the strong and incredible women in my life. I became an obstetrician and gynecologist because I wanted a career in which I could work with, support and advocate for women. We are privileged in this field to care for patients throughout their lifetimes, and to share some of the best moments while also helping them through some of their worst.
As an obstetrician and gynecologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I perform minimally invasive gynecological surgery, treat issues such as abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and postmenopausal bleeding, and provide contraceptive services, gender-affirming care, and prenatal care, and also guide patients throughout the various stages of pregnancy.
I believe the patient-physician relationship is integral in the practice of medicine. I discuss a patient’s condition and treatment options with them, including risks and benefits. I focus on answering questions and providing recommendations in a way that patients can understand. I empower and support my patients to make decisions that best align with their goals and values. I strive to provide patient-centered, compassionate and evidence-based care.
I have always been passionate about education and mentorship and have worked with students during every level of my career. I learned from incredibly skilled and compassionate physicians. They helped me learn the science and art of medicine. They inspired me to pursue a career in academic medicine and help mold the future of medicine and also obstetrics and gynecology. I currently instruct medical students on labor and delivery, in the operating room and in the office. I am an assistant professor and serve as an advisor for students during their clerkships.
My research is focused on medical education and on improving resident physicians’ wellness and lessening burnout. I am also interested in surgical education, as well as quality improvement and ways that we can make clinical experiences and outcomes for patients better.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our beautiful golden retrievers, Magnolia and Marigold. We enjoy walks through the parks and farmers markets on the weekends. I also enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes or cuisines. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, exploring new coffee shops, traveling and finding and listening to new music.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
