About Me
As a vascular neurologist, I specialize in caring for patients who have experienced a stroke. I perform medical imaging tests to give patients the most accurate diagnosis possible and work with them to create a customized treatment plan.
I always knew becoming a doctor was the right path for me. It’s deeply rewarding to come to work every day and use my skills to help others. My patients can expect the same high-quality care that I would want for my own family members.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, my research is focused on acute management of stroke and finding ways to enhance patient outcomes. My work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and I have presented my findings at prestigious meetings, including the annual International Stroke Conference hosted by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, and the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
I enjoy working in academic medicine because of the collaborative opportunities that enable us to advance patient care and medical education. I appreciate the camaraderie at Ohio State and I’m proud to be part of such an exceptional team.
My role also includes helping educate medical students and residents as a clinical assistant professor of Neurology. I love teaching, and it’s a privilege to give back in any way I can — which I am passionate about. I am also passionate about volunteering with free health care clinics around central Ohio.
Outside of work, I love running, playing sports and trying new restaurants.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Morales has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
