About Me
As a nephrologist and certified hypertension specialist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I care for patients who are experiencing “resistant” or difficult-to-control hypertension. Kidney and heart care are related because chronic high blood pressure may damage vessels that supply the kidneys, which can then lead to kidney diseases. My role involves diagnosing and treating those forms of hypertension that are related to other medical conditions.
I am passionate about providing the highest level of care possible to everyone who comes to see me. The most rewarding part of this job is the opportunity to form long-lasting connections with my patients. I believe in forming a partnership with each patient and working collaboratively to meet their individual goals and improve overall quality of life.
Working at Ohio State allows me to collaborate and learn from colleagues who are at the top of their respective fields. I appreciate the opportunity to work with cardiologists, endocrinologists, radiologists, surgeons and others to provide comprehensive treatment that improves patient outcomes.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I also help train future physicians. I am a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships

Good
I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Leising! He and his student was VERY thorough! Dr Leising explained things in detail and was easy to understand. He answered every question I had and was so reassuring. I'm 50 years old and I've never experienced this type of care- other Dr's could take lessons from this man. Dr Leising called me within a day with the results of my first round of bloodwork. Then a week later after having an ultrasound of my kidneys and more bloodwork, he messaged me on a Friday night with my results. I have been very concerned and full of anxiety up until my first appointment. His quick response put me at ease and I appreciate that more than I could put into words. I would highly recommend him!
