Biography
I chose a career in medicine because it blends my passions for service and science. As a trauma surgeon, I am committed to providing exceptional care to my patients and their families during their critical time of need. I put the patient at the center of all I do and always infuse an attitude of gratitude and optimism.
My role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center includes performing emergency general surgeries and treating acute traumatic injuries. I operate on patients with appendicitis and cholecystitis, and treat soft tissue infections, rib fractures, abdominal injuries and hernias. I have extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques and robotics.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Coleman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
