As a psychiatrist, I specialize in the treatment of adults with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as other diagnoses. I’m passionate about getting to know my patients as individuals and working with them to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
During the first encounter, I take a thorough history to understand my patients’ symptoms, history and life circumstances. I use a collaborative approach with my patients to develop a comprehensive treatment plan, which may include medication, psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions. With all of my patients, I strive to provide evidence-based care while individualizing treatment for the specific patient.
I’m grateful to work at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with incredible colleagues and a wide array of resources available for my patients. I also enjoy the opportunity to teach and supervise students and residents.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, hanging out with my dog and spending time with family and friends.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/21/2019, Dr. Hyman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
