About Me

As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I see patients throughout the multiple stages of their reproductive life. The relationships that I build with my patients are very rewarding. Strong physician-patient relationships provide the best possible care because a patient is able to work with a doctor they know and trust.

When providing medical care, I consider each patient’s unique personal and health care needs and goals. I enjoy keeping my patients healthy and satisfied with their experience here at Ohio State. I am particularly passionate about women’s health care and I serve as an advocate for reproductive and LGBT health.

I truly enjoy working in an institution where there is strong camaraderie among all the different specialties. Here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, patients are able to receive top notch and quality health care.

When I’m not working I like to spend my free time traveling, cooking and walking my dogs.

Dr. Malone is the best gynecologist I have seen, especially as a trans person. She is culturally humble, respectful, kind, provides informed consent and has a calming, professional demeanor. I loved working with her. She took the time to explain what was going to happen in the appointment and to explain my results from the Pap smear.

I love Dr Malone. Kara has amazing bedside manner. She takes all of my questions and concerns seriously and helps give the best advice and/or diagnosis. I have been her patient for years and wouldn't want to go to anyone else.

I felt very safe with her, between the anti-racism message on her lanyard and her sensitivity to my needs as a trans person. She was very friendly and did everything she could to set me at ease, including keeping me informed on the things she was doing/would do and why. She gave me lots of useful information about my IUD, what the risks were, and what I should expect.
