My clinical duties include providing comprehensive cancer genetic consultations to individuals and families with a history of cancer. These consultations involve documenting cancers in the family, performing risk assessments, offering screening recommendations, and incorporating genetic testing when necessary.

Academics and research
My research interests include evaluating alternative service delivery models, developing methods to improve patient access to care, and exploring strategies for providing genetic counseling education to students and health care providers.
I have and continue to serve as an academic advisor for students in the Master of Science Genetic Counseling Training Program at The Ohio State University. I have served as a primary clinical supervisory for over 16 genetic counseling graduate students since 2008 during their clinical rotations in the Division of Human Genetics at OSUWMC and in Pediatric Genetics at Nationwide Children's Hospital. My responsibilities include mentoring, goal setting and providing formative and summative assessment. I have served as a primary clinical supervisor for over 10 NCH residents since 2008. My responsibilities include clinical oversight and providing formative assessment. I have also been the direct supervisor and mentor for one undergraduate student who has worked part-time as my genetic counseling assistant in the Division of Human Genetics at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
