Biography
I became an obstetrician and gynecologist because I am passionate about improving women’s health, and I find joy in caring for my patients throughout all stages of their lives. At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I perform gynecological surgical procedures, provide contraception services, and guide patients through each stage of pregnancy. My clinical and research interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, adolescent gynecology, and pregnancy, and treating substance use disorders during pregnancy.
I take great care to provide patients with the information they need to make informed decisions surrounding their health. Fostering a trusting patient–doctor relationship is particularly important to me. I strive for open, direct communication with my patients while providing compassionate, evidence-based and patient-centered care.
As an Ohio State-trained physician, I have great pride in our institution and it’s an honor to work alongside such exceptional colleagues. The culture of camaraderie trickles down from leadership to practitioners to other hospital staff and informs our interactions with patients. I also appreciate the opportunity to work with and educate trainees and residents.
I met my husband during medical school, and we were thrilled to make central Ohio our new home after we both matched at Ohio State for our residency programs. Outside of work, we love being with our daughter and exploring Columbus.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Patton has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
The care provider was compassionate and attentive, ensuring I understood my procedure and felt supported throughout my visit.
I love her. She has very good bedside manner, seems to care and wants to help with my medical concerns. I feel blessed to have her.
Dr Patton was respectful and really listened to me. She remembered things I said and I felt like she completely respected my feelings and heard what I was saying. It was a solid first visit. I feel really comfortable coming back to her in the future.

Dr. Patton both listens and explains things very well. She is very friendly and remembers things from prior visits. I also really appreciated that she got me in for my appointment early when my anatomy scan finished an hour before our scheduled appointment time.
