About Me
As a rheumatologist, I specialize in caring for patients with various autoimmune diseases and conditions that cause inflammation in the muscles, joints and bones. My goal is always to help reduce each patient’s pain levels and improve their quality of life.
I chose to advance my career in academic medicine because of the opportunity to handle the most complex cases. I appreciate the commitment to teamwork here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, both within rheumatology and within other specialties. This comprehensive approach lets us offer the most thoughtful and well-rounded care to our patients.
I enjoy my job because it fuels my curiosity. I’m able to work alongside other experts at the top of their fields and constantly learn new things. The opportunity to use this knowledge to take care of others is deeply rewarding.
I am also passionate about working with trainees and serving as a mentor, which was another reason I stayed in academic medicine. The responsibility of educating others pushes me to be a better physician, role model and human. The excitement and enthusiasm that medical students, residents and fellows exude in their approach to patient care is refreshing, motivating, and inspiring.
In addition to my clinical and educational roles, I am also actively involved with the American College of Rheumatology. I serve on its Collaborative Initiatives subcommittee.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
