Biography
I am a speech-language pathologist employed at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital. I completed my Master’s coursework in Speech-Language Pathology at The George Washington University in 2014. While living in Washington, DC, I worked in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and subacute rehabilitation settings. Prior to relocating to Ohio, I worked at Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital, an acute rehabilitation hospital located in the heart of the District of Columbia, where I specialized in evaluation and treatment of patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cardiac-related medical issues, and other acquired neurologic conditions. I am certified in LSVT Loud. Clinically, I enjoy working with patients suffering from aphasia, cognitive-communication difficulties, voice disorders, and changes in swallow function. I also enjoy mentoring students, interdepartmental education and lectures, practicing my Spanish language skills, and engagement with support organizations for neurologic disorders within the community.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Kathryn Krumpak has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
