Biography

As a dermatologic surgeon at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I perform advanced procedures to treat various forms of skin cancer. I specialize in Mohs micrographic surgery, which has the highest cure rate for skin cancer while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. I am also trained in innovative reconstructive techniques that allow me to repair wounds with excellent cosmetic results.

The skin is our largest organ and the only part of our body on public display. Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be scary, and learning that you need skin surgery, especially on the face, can feel overwhelming due to concerns about scarring. My patients can trust that I will provide the highest quality care possible, both in and out of the procedure room. I enjoy getting to know my patients, and they can always rely on me for support throughout their cancer journey.

Academics and research

The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is a center of academic excellence, and I was drawn by the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking clinical research. I aim to help improve the management of high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and rare skin tumors and develop new reconstructive techniques. I have received funding from the Dermatology Foundation and the AAD Cochrane Scholar Program, and my research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals.

I am also passionate about medical education. My role includes teaching and mentoring medical students, dermatology residents, and Mohs surgery fellows.
