Biography

I am a board-certified adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner with the Division of Surgical Oncology at the OSUCCC – James. I have specialized training as an oncology certified nurse through the Oncology Nursing Society. I focus on treating breast cancer and benign breast conditions and performing diagnostic imaging tests, including mammography, sonography, MRI, cancer staging scans and preoperative tests. Before focusing on breast oncology, I worked as a bedside nurse treating hematology patients.

From day one of diagnosis through completion of surveillance, I enjoy being a small part of each patient’s cancer journey. I treat each patient as I would want to be treated and provide evidence-based care that is personalized for their unique needs and values. I respect each person’s autonomy, and I empower them to take active roles in their care. I educate my patients about their conditions and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care.

The entire clinical team here at The James is passionate about providing the best patient experience possible, and we form close relationships with patients and their families. We also have the expertise, resources and research capabilities that allow us to provide access to the most advanced treatment opportunities available.

I am involved in several professional organizations, including the Oncology Nursing Society, the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAAPN) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
