Primary Care - General Internal Medicine
Department: Internal Medicine
I am a primary care physician specializing in care for older adults. I treat acute illnesses and injuries, manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and coronary artery disease, address mental health concerns and offer advance care planning services.
I practice an evidence-based, patient-centered approach with care plans that are tailored to each person’s unique goals and values. In my practice, I also work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive the best comprehensive care available.
I strive to help my patients lead high-quality lives for as long as possible. I emphasize preventative medicine and work collaboratively with each patient to help them avoid geriatric syndromes that lead to issues such as cognitive impairment and increased risk of falls. I build genuine relationships and enjoy hearing about my patients’ lives, like their recent travels and stories about their children and grandchildren.
I am passionate about helping educate the next generation of physicians and I am a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I also teach residents. I am the director of the Medicine-Geriatrics Integrated Training Program, and the core liaison between Geriatrics and the Internal Medicine Residency Program. I am also the assistant program director of the Geriatrics Fellowship.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

First time visit to find a new Family care provider. She spent time getting to know me, going over my health conditions. She made me feel comfortable and accepted into this new practice (former phys retired). I have confidence in her knowledge, and that she will provide me with the best care possible in the future.
Really appreciate how she listens to me and either agrees or challenges based on her medical knowledge.
Wonderful doctor. Knowledge of my medical history. Asked me additional questions. Top notch.
Very thorough. Saw Resident first for complete history.

I thought the provider was knowledgeable and nice. She wore a mask and I found it difficult to understand everything she said. She probably thought I had a hearing problem.

She's very knowledgeable and listened to what I said.
Dr. Sreevalsan was both efficient and respectful.
