I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I regularly treat acute illnesses like upper respiratory infections, strep throat and the flu. I also manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia, and I offer women’s health services, including Pap smears.
Primary care allows me to develop long-term relationships with my patients and I highly value that opportunity. I always want to help motivate people to improve their health and wellness, and my patients can rely on me as a supportive partner as we work together to reach those goals.

I absolutely LOVE Kelly she is THEEE BEST!!! I'm very comfortable with her she listens answeres explains is empathetic in the most professional way but makes me feel personally like I'm her only patient when we are interacting! I don't feel rushed or unheard.
Caring for sure, but seemed to adhere to what I see as an ageist protocol in communicating with older patients. I'm 72 and feel like I was talked to as an old person with cognitive decline. Because of that I wasn't given extended info on what to expect next, how I should proceed, what to do if I were not meeting expectations, what to expect regarding my X-ray I am perfectly capable of accepting information and directions. I do not get confused and do not need info given in small bits. I feel like I fell into an age category and thus was treated and spoken to according to some protocol that didn't fit my needs. It would be better to see the patient in a category, ask some questions to determine specifics, and then talk to the patient in a way that would match their capacity to understand. I am not in cognitive decline and expect to be talked to and provided full information accordingly. I do not see this as a fault of the provider in particular, but more as a fault in the profession. I appreciate that one's age is considered. But I also feel that it is time to learn how to handle the nuances of specific patient' needs in those age categories. We are not all the same.

Nurse practitioner Kelly Beck made my visit very enjoyable. She was very caring, knowledgeable and sincere. She even followed up with a letter talking about my results and gave detailed advice on how to care for my foot. She even told me what I needed to get to help my foot heal and gave advice that would help save me money. It was very much appreciated.
