Biography

As a board-certified family medicine physician, I provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages. I believe in building long term collaborative relationships with patients to work towards their health goals. I believe every patient deserves compassionate care from a physician who knows them.

I have a special interest in women’s health, cholesterol management, pediatric care including newborns, and gender affirming care. I can provide long-acting reversible birth control (IUD placement and removal, birth control implant insertion and removal) as well as other in office procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and knee injections.

I also appreciate educating the next generation of physicians in my role as a clinical assistant professor of Family and Community Medicine in the Ohio State University College of Medicine.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, crafting, baking, and spending time with my cat Athena.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Dr. McAfee has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
