About Me
I’m a board certified hematologist with a clinical and research focus on lymphoid malignancies. My clinical expertise includes indolent and aggressive B-cell Non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas as well as Hodgkin’s disease. Currently, I serve as an assistant professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Hematology.
As a member of the Leukemia and Hematologic Malignancies Program at the OSUCCC – James, my research focuses on the identification of novel therapeutic targets as well as the preclinical and clinical development of innovative treatment strategies for lymphoma patients. I have found that witnessing my preclinical research translated to therapies that may offer patients superior care over standard treatments is a rewarding and noble career path to follow.
My work has been patented and published in numerous medical journals such as Blood, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Research and Leukemia, and I have presented my research at more than a dozen national and international conferences. I have received multiple awards including the 2016 American Society of Clinical Oncology Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award, the 2015 Excellence in Hematology & Oncology Research Award, the 2013 Celgene Award for Future Leaders in Hematology and the 2013 Clara D. Bloomfield Excellence in Hematology & Oncology Research Award.
In order to provide the most comprehensive and advanced treatment options to my patients and to remain at the forefront of cancer research, I am involved with several lymphoma-related associations, such as the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Lymphoma Research Foundation and the American Association for Cancer Research.
The work of our multidisciplinary team at the James is on the cutting-edge of cancer research, and every day new therapeutic approaches are being tested. Simply put, there is no better place in the world for cancer treatment than here at the OSUCCC – James.
