About Me
As a general internal medicine physician, I specialize in providing primary care to adult patients of all ages. I help my patients remain healthy throughout their lives by providing excellent preventive health care in addition to assisting with acute illnesses and injuries that occur from day to day. I also see patients with chronic health conditions and help them manage their disease, symptoms and overall health. I enjoy building long-term relationships with my patients, assisting and empowering them to make decisions that will maximize their health, longevity and ability to live wholehearted lives.
I specialize in treating patients with eating disorders — both their primary health care needs and treatment of any medical complications associated with the eating disorder. Through interactions with patients and my collaboration with community health care providers in treating individuals with eating disorders, I became sensitive to the multifaceted medical needs of patients with disordered eating and the need for more experienced and empathetic primary care providers in this field. With all of my patients, I’m passionate about providing weight-inclusive care to people of all body shapes and sizes.
After completing my internal medicine training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, I served as an active-duty military physician for eight years at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. I performed comprehensive medical evaluations on aviators, ground crew and special duty operators to evaluate medical risk and assist with optimizing their health so they can perform their jobs safely and effectively. As a member of a multidisciplinary team that included general medicine providers, medical specialists and mental health experts, I learned to love how I could help patients live integrated, meaningful, healthy lives by addressing their health holistically.
When I’m not at work, you’re likely to find me biking, swimming, practicing yoga, curled up with a good book, scribbling in my journal or planning my next traveling adventure (within the U.S. or Europe). Most of my friends and family still reside in New England, where I grew up and where I try to return as often as possible. I love spending time with my brother, sister-in-law and nephews, my parents, my friends, and their many children (my extended “nieces and nephews”).

Excellent physician. I am very lucky to be in her care. She is very knowledgeable about the health needs of of a 70 year old woman and provides excellent care and expertise.
She was, as usual, a pleasure to talk with and answered all my questions
Dr bridge is a great doctor and I am thankful to have her as my PCP
We had discussion a bout me not wanting to take mental health test. She said I raised my voice & appeared angry. I wasn't aware of that. & had fears about the test. It involved a discussion about how doctors were trying to help me. It ended well.
Communication was not fluid, no easy connection
She is very friendly and cares for the patient
Outstanding. New patient and she spent time getting to know me and my medical history/background (something that has not been done by an MD in a long time)
Always top notch with Dr. Bridge.
Very attentive and explains things in depth and treats me with respect.Shows compassion and is very knowledgeable with all my health concerns.I rate this Doctor the highest point possible enjoy having her be my doctor.
I had good experiences with my provider. My doctor makes me feel comfortable in asking questions, makes me feel heard, and takes the time to answers my questions.

Good
No bad experience
She's the best doctor I have ever had because she listens and is never in a rush.
Showed empathy, concern, and knowledge. Listened to what I had to say but made sure I understood the importance of following her suggestions and medical advice
Dr. Bridge is truly outstanding in her care and attuning to my unique needs and situation, taking a holistic wellness and fitness approach not just attending to ill health.
Experience was good.Good experience-was a first get to know provider.
I think I'm very fortunate to have her as my family doctor.
Dr. Bridge is one of the best providers I have ever seen. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, and very thorough. She is very in tune to the type of care I need and although she shows empathy, she is also stern and very transparent putting out expectations and making sure I understand everything she is discussing with me.
All good
She was Better this visit. She was dismissive of some of my concerns in the past but it is getting better
This was my first visit with a PCP in over 10 years, so I had many concerns/issues to address. Provider was very thorough; asked many follow up questions to fully understand my concerns; respectful, kind
This was the 2nd time Dr Bridge had met me. What a delight she is. Her manner, patience and willingness to listen sets a gold standard for a primary provider. Very easy to talk to, she gave this introvert new confidence that I had value as someone struggling with a new, semi-retired lifestyle. We chatted about wellness at length as well as taking care of the need for routine tests and medications. I left feeling very well heard as a patient. Thank you WMC and Dr Bridge.
Very pleased with her professionalism and knowledge of medication and keeping up with my vaccinations
She was very attentive, compassionate, and empathetic to what I had to say. She provided helpful resources and information for me to follow up with.
Absolutely love coming to Dr Bridge. She has a way of talking to you and not at you like other doctors I've experienced in the past. She also is great at listening to my concerns and responding with constructive feedback and solutions.
Appreciate her manner and the fact that she is prepared

Professional, friendly, empathetic, highly skilled, good recommendations and follow up
DrBridge was very aware of my health history.
Outstanding doctor! Very good listener! Took gentle care of me. Very, very compassionate doctor!
Thoughtful, smart, supportive.
Highly skilled - outstanding clinical knowledge and expertise. Strong patient education focus. Excellent knowledge based with professional attitude to match. Please do not identify her as a generic provider - she is a physician. She promotes - maintains and restores health.
I am very pleased with Dr. Lavra Bridge she is a wonderful doctor who has helped me maintain Good Health wouldn't want to trade her for any other doctor.
Provider was thorough on exam
This was an appointment to establish care and for Dr. bridge to be my PCP. When I asked about weight loss medicine, she said if I choose to go that route she would not be able to continue to see me. She went on to say that she did not believe in weight loss meds. I told her I already had an appointment with OSU Bariatric Center, and she said even if someone else prescribed the medicine - She still would not see me. When did my doctor have to have the same views as me to TREAT me?
Dr. Bridge listened carefully to my concerns, and as a result, testing revealed blood clots in one leg. Those are now being addressed.
Excellent as always thorough & to the point. Listens and offers advice.
Excellent

She paid attention to me while talking and really listened to my concerns and provided me with answers to things I've been questioning a long time.
I enjoy talking with my doctor. She listens to my questions and takes the time to explain further if I do not understand. I feel safe in her presence.
Dr. Bridge was kind and never rushed me when I asked questions. She was a wealth of knowledge and I would recommend her to any friends.
It is good.
Great experience.
Dr. Bridge is always very thorough, addressed my concerns & takes her time to be sure all my questions.
Dr. Bridge did not listen, not empathetic at all. Very disappointed & will be finding a new PCP.
She is prompt and very thorough even searching the CDC website to answer my question. Very intelligent and practices evidence based medicine. I find her professional yet easy to talk to and reassuring. I have seen many providers and she Is by far the best. I trust and value her care. A superb primary care provider.
