About Me
As a general internal medicine physician, I specialize in providing primary care to adult patients of all ages. I help my patients remain healthy throughout their lives by providing excellent preventive health care in addition to assisting with acute illnesses and injuries that occur from day to day. I also see patients with chronic health conditions and help them manage their disease, symptoms and overall health. I enjoy building long-term relationships with my patients, assisting and empowering them to make decisions that will maximize their health, longevity and ability to live wholehearted lives.
I specialize in treating patients with eating disorders — both their primary health care needs and treatment of any medical complications associated with the eating disorder. Through interactions with patients and my collaboration with community health care providers in treating individuals with eating disorders, I became sensitive to the multifaceted medical needs of patients with disordered eating and the need for more experienced and empathetic primary care providers in this field. With all of my patients, I’m passionate about providing weight-inclusive care to people of all body shapes and sizes.
After completing my internal medicine training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, I served as an active-duty military physician for eight years at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. I performed comprehensive medical evaluations on aviators, ground crew and special duty operators to evaluate medical risk and assist with optimizing their health so they can perform their jobs safely and effectively. As a member of a multidisciplinary team that included general medicine providers, medical specialists and mental health experts, I learned to love how I could help patients live integrated, meaningful, healthy lives by addressing their health holistically.
When I’m not at work, you’re likely to find me biking, swimming, practicing yoga, curled up with a good book, scribbling in my journal or planning my next traveling adventure (within the U.S. or Europe). Most of my friends and family still reside in New England, where I grew up and where I try to return as often as possible. I love spending time with my brother, sister-in-law and nephews, my parents, my friends, and their many children (my extended “nieces and nephews”).

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 10/25/2021, Dr. Bridge has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Listened to me and seemed to actually care. Even better, it seemed like I was something fun instead of a burden. Made me feel wanted as a patient.
This appointment was originally scheduled to establish as a new patient with Dr. Bridge. In the interim, I have been experiencing a serious flare up of my acid reflux issues, so I was anxious to talk with her about this While I liked Dr. Bridge, I was a bit put off by the fact that she made it very clear that we only had so much time, and if we talked about my acid reflux, we wouldn't have time to get through all of my medical history as part of my new patient" appointment. The whole appointment felt rushed. I've never felt that way with anyone else I've seen in the OSU medical network.
Great interaction and competence
Thorough, knowledgeable, took time to understand my health background
Dr. Bridge took the time to get to know me as a patient and person. I really appreciated her bed side manners and look forward to seeing her.
Liked that Dr. Bridge's first question is to tell her about oneself at a more general level than just medical.
Wonderful really took a lot of time to explain things & answer questions!!
Very thorough, professional, friendly.
1st impressions of Dr Bridge were excellent. She listens well and provided relevant and informed discussions on my health needs.
Very polite & professional
Dr. Bridge was very pleasant and was concerned about my health concerns.
Dr new to me. Second visit. Just getting to know her. Will continue to be her patient. So far so good
My PCP is retiring after I've been with him more than 20 years. This was a 1st meeting with new PCP, quite impressed with her!
I am a new patient to OSU and was very disappointed in the personal interaction with Dr. Laura Bridge. The focus of my appointment was on her typing in the computer. I counted over 12 minutes of her typing for a 20- minute appointment! The majority of the appointment consisted of me sitting listening to her typing. She completed a 5-minute rushed assessment. As a result, I was told to return for another appointment for her to review my health status. I have never had a medical appointment with the doctor doing so much typing. Perhaps she should use a scribe for typing. There is a COVID crisis in my community and I should not have to make a return visit when one should have been adequate. As a new patient, I thought more time would have been spent talking with me. I had to fill out many forms in MyChart in preparation for the appointment so those should have been reviewed prior to my appointment.
Dr, Bridge was very professional and friendly. Glad she is my care giver.
All good
Dr bridge is doing a great job understanding my health and welfare.
OUTSTANDING. Better than I expected. If I could give her a 20 I would!
Very thorough, conscientious, caring and understanding.
Very caring and thorough.
She was very nice and knowledgeable, and she provided several treatment options.
Extremely knowledgeable and thorough
