Biography
I specialize in cardiovascular medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I diagnose and treat patients for various conditions including arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure and hypertension, and I address heart complicated during pregnancy. My practice also emphasizes preventive measures to help patients achieve their goals and avoid adverse outcomes.
I value getting to know each patient, which helps me create personalized care plans that align with their individual needs and values. I always take the time to clearly explain their conditions and treatment options, and I empower each patient to take an active role in their care.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, my role includes helping to educate future physicians. I am an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Hassen has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Dr. Hassan was knowledgeable and familiar with my records. She spent a good deal of quality time with me and answered questions clearly, showing concern and caring.

I usually hate going to doctor's offices due to past experiences but my care provider at OSU was so attentive, listened to my concerns and even expressed praise for the healthy lifestyle efforts I have been making. This was my second time seeing her and I was anxious about my initial visit given that I had never seen a Cardiologist before. She instilled confidence and relief in her assessment and diagnosis.
