Biography

I am a Clinical Counselor at The Ohio State University Division of General Internal Medicine clinic, currently practicing out of Martha Morehouse. I enjoy providing individual counseling services, connecting individuals with community resources, and working collaboratively with psychiatric and primary care teams to provide effective and convenient care to my patients.

As a Clinical Counselor, I approach patient care from a mindset that every person I meet with has extreme value and they are capable of learning mental health skills to help improve their overall daily functioning. My clinical strengths include providing Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Grief Counseling, Strengths-Based Therapy, and educating my patients on various coping skills and resources to help foster healing and hope.

I am a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2012. Prior to joining Ohio State’s General Internal Medicine team, have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families in community based, private practice, and psychiatric hospital settings.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Leah Dapo has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
