Biography

As an integrative health physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in osteopathic medicine. I treat patients for both acute and chronic pain concerns. I can address some of the mental health concerns that can come up with pain or trauma issues, such as anxiety and depression. I also work with infants and parents who are struggling with body or bottle-feeding difficulties.

I have specialized in osteopathic manipulation for infants, children and adults, as I enjoy seeing patients of all ages. While in my family medicine residency in Milwaukee, I also completed a course in acupuncture through the Helms Medical Institute. This Eastern perspective complements my general osteopathic, or whole-person, medical approach to health and wellness. I am excited to work with patients on the foundations of health – diet, movement and love. I am interested in mind-body practices, health promotion, comprehensive medicine and how chronic conditions affect the musculoskeletal system. It's inspiring to see patients who are grounded in the daily, sometimes difficult, work of making healthy choices for themselves and their families, and I am committed to supporting them along the way. I am currently accepting only infants and children as new patients.

My role includes helping to educate the next generation of providers. I am an assistant clinical professor of Family and Community Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Academics and research

I joined The Ohio State University Department of Family Medicine in December 2017 and am so happy to be seeing patients at the Center for Integrative Medicine. In addition to my one-on-one work with patients, I am working to contribute to the service-oriented and academically challenging culture of medical education at Ohio State. As a preceptor at the Rardin Family Practice Center, I have the opportunity to teach and learn alongside residents and medical students. I am also proud to advocate for physicians and patients on a national level as a committee representative within the ACGME.
