About Me
As a family medicine and integrative medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in osteopathic medicine and acupuncture. I’m interested in acupuncture, mind-body practices, health promotion and holistic medicine. I see adults, infants and children.
It’s inspiring to see patients who are grounded in the daily, sometimes difficult, work of making healthy choices for themselves and their families.
I’m interested in research that applies osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to pediatric populations, especially those with feeding difficulties and the physical tensions that accumulate from stress or birth injury.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

All great - never bad. Truly amazing, caring & kind. She always listens & I appreciate being able to be seen by her!
This doctor fills a huuuuuge gap in healthcare model as I've experienced it. Treating chronic pain+movement limitations usually ends up as:"come to an evaluation, go to PT, see you in 6 months."Then the PT has limited set of knowledge or skills and minimal coordination with physician. Then back to the doctor, "Oh that didn't work? Maybe an MRI and rinse, repeat."Be able to consult with this doctor more regularly lets me get so much more value out of physical therapy visits. In many cases, I find this doctor more useful than PT to achieve certain movement goals.
Dr. Welsh is calm & caring. I feel comfortable bringing my health concerns to her. She is ALWAYS encouraging.
Attentive, kind, informative, gentle. Therapeutic!
I could not be happier with Dr. Welsh, her treatment or her manner.
Outstanding physician - highly recommend.
Dr. Welsh is very easy to talk to and I feel comfortable confiding in her and sharing my thoughts and feelings.
Always attentive, listening and great about giving me pertinent information and next steps regarding my health.
Dr. Welsh is an amazing doctor - concerned with finding the root of your issues, not just coming up with a temporary solution to symptoms. She's mindful of a your boundaries but makes sure the you are comfortable. She's always transparent, compassionate, and professional.
Very kind & gentle & wise.
Dr. Welsh cares very much for the patient's overall health, she cares for my overall wellness, ensuring I take care of my body, my mental health, and she Invites me to be gentle to myself, and value what I do. She is genuinely engaged with her patients and with her hands and amazing knowledge of the body, she Is able to find the places of my body that need OMT to align my mind and spirit with my body.
Dr. Welsh is an excellent & intuitive listener. She has a calming presence. She offers many resources (podcasts, books) for personal growth along with practical, small steps for health. For example, she recently suggested healthy fats like avocado & nuts to help the body hold hydration, especially in winter. I appreciate realistic suggestions rather than just being told to drink more water. Dr. Welsh is full of gems like that.
Dr. Welsh was the most kind, considerate and gentle doctor I've ever had. She talked to me as a friend from her initial greeting and throughout our appointment time. She listened with interest about my history with a chronic and sever back issue, that I have tried every way possible, with many different doctors, to help find relief. The last doctor I saw for help, before Dr. Welsh, simply looked at my history and said there was no day he could help me without even looking at my back. Dr. Welsh was reassuring and gave me hope, as well as an hour of her time where she gave me a wonderful treatment and hope to come.
