About MeAs a nephrologist, I treat conditions that affect the kidney, especially lupus and other forms of glomerulonephritis. I mainly focus on diseases that affect the filters in the kidneys, called the glomeruli. Typically these conditions cause blood in the urine and significant protein loss. When properly treated, most of these conditions can be managed successfully.
When treating my patients I provide highly detailed treatment plans and work closely with their referring physician. After each clinic visit, I make sure a copy of my letter is sent to the patient. I also strongly encourage my patients to enroll in and use MyChart.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is an exceptionally large and diverse medical center and is equipped to handle the vast majority of clinical conditions. Our size and excellence make it a privilege to be a part of the team. What I love most about working here is seeing our nephrology program grow into one of the highest ranked and largest programs in the nation.
When I’m not working, my wife Maddie and I enjoy spending time with our family. Between our children, their spouses and our grandchildren there are thirty-six of us. Because our family lives throughout the U.S. and abroad, we often travel and get together to celebrate birthdays, Christmas and our annual family reunion with the whole clan.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 03/28/2017, Dr. Hebert has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
