This was a new patient visit to establish care with Dr. Hetson as my previous PCP is no longer practicing. She was very thorough, asked about all routine preventative care and testing needed for my age and ensured that I was up to date on all of those (Mammogram, Pap smear, etc). She is also requesting medical records from my other providers to review all prior testing. She also reached out via MyChart after all lab work had been completed to assure me that all testing was normal and looked good.

Needs to ask or talk about things to watch for or to be aware of that as a patient I might not know to ask. She put information about bone density on line - no follow up questions.
Dr. Hetson heard my concerns about the statin I am on and some side effects I am experiencing. She cut the dosage in half which I appreciate. Dr. Hetson made that decision in the session prior to the blood work and I would have preferred the outcome to be based on my numbers rather than my wishes. In the end, my numbers were dramatically improved and cutting the statin was the right call. I always want things to be science based when they can be.
She is very good and kind helpful to me
I came in with upper respiratory symptoms and I was surprised that while pain in my ears was my chief complaint that my breathing wasn't listened to. I noticed this because I had the same thing happen with one of my children when I brought them in to see a different provider, they had upper respiratory symptoms and their breathing was listened to but I had to request their ears be checked.
Very friendly, asked a lot of questions to get to know me, listened to my concerns, ordered tests, referred me to the lifestyle medicine program. I'm so happy because I'm in a program that will help me and I really feel like Dr. Heston listened to me and suggested something that will work for me. I'm not a fan of taking meds when unnecessary.

Dr. Heston was a joy on our first visit. She didn't act rushed or irritated or just lost in his/her own mind. She was "there" She listened. Asked appropriate questions. Answered my questions fully. Dr. Hetson always ends the visit with an invitation to contact her if I've got any questions or concerns. Of all my physicians over my 52 years on Earth, she is sincerely concerned, such a lovely personality. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
She listen what ever issue I have
Very thorough and helpful
Being that Dr. Hetson had made this appointment for a physical, the only thing that was done was checking my ears and nose, upon my request, and feeling of my abdominal area. Again, upon my request she did check a spot on my back. Upon leaving, I did not receive an after appointment print out, and I left wondering why I came for the appointment. I MyCharted Dr. Hetson going on over 3 days ago and have not had any response from her or the office. Very unusual for OSU MyChart.

Dr. Hettson is respectful, knowledgable and professional - I consider myself lucky to have her as my GP!
The provider did not seem to be aware of my past medical history. She did not ask follow-up questions or volunteer to recheck bloodwork that was out of range during my last yearly physical (or explain why she didn't feel the need to recheck). I had just had surgery before this visit with another hospital, and she didn't seem to be very interested in that when I told her. She did not ask any follow-up questions concerning how I was doing or ask questions that might be related to my health after such surgery. At another point, I informed her that I have had some breast imaging come back irregular recently and I have been asked to see an oncologist. She did not seem very interested or ask any follow-up questions. (???). Just said, "OK, great." I mentioned some digestive issues that I have been having for over a year, and she did not seem to be very interested. She just acknowledged the issue-- but did not examine me, ask any follow-up questions or refer me to another doctor. She was a very nice person, but I feel like I would have to be very knowledgeable in my own health and no what tests to ask for, and as a layperson, I just don't have that knowledge.
