Biography

I am Lisa Neumeyer, PhD, and I specialize in psychology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on providing patient-centered behavioral healthcare.

As a psychologist with the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, I help patients achieve optimal mental and emotional well-being. The department's approach emphasizes treating the whole person and recognizing the connection between mental and physical health, with care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

I believe every patient deserves support, respect and evidence-based care. My goal is to create a thoughtful, collaborative environment where patients feel heard and empowered as we work together to address behavioral health concerns and promote overall wellness. I am Lisa Neumeyer, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I specialize in psychology and behavioral health research. My research focuses on advancing the understanding of psychological factors that influence health and well-being and applying that knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

As an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, I am committed to research that strengthens the connection between mental and physical health. My work explores how psychological and behavioral factors affect individuals across a range of clinical and healthcare settings. Through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, I seek to develop and evaluate approaches that improve quality of life, support emotional well-being and enhance patient-centered care.

I earned my PhD in psychology from The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences and completed a psychology fellowship at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. My research and academic work reflect a commitment to translating scientific knowledge into meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
